Enrique Medina, M.D. Board Certified Rheumatologist

Dr. Medina is a highly skilled rheumatologist fluent in both English and Spanish. Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he pursued his medical degree at the University of Puerto Rico. Following his graduation, Dr. Medina completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). His dedication to the field of rheumatology led him to further specialize by completing a fellowship in rheumatology at the same institution.

Dr. Medina has extensive expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of rheumatologic diseases, including but not limited to rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, dermatomyositis, sarcoidosis, IGG4-related disease, and vasculitis. He has also actively participated in research projects focused on dermatomyositis, contributing valuable insights to the field.

With a patient-centered approach, Dr. Medina is committed to providing personalized care and practicing evidence-based medicine. His goal is to make every patient feel better by offering individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Medina enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, traveling, and cooking. He believes in the importance of a balanced life and brings this philosophy to his patient care, aiming to improve their overall quality of life.
