Holly Smith, M.D. Board Certified Rheumatologist

Dr. Smith is originally from North Texas. She attended medical school at UTMB in Galveston. Upon completion, she pursued internship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, residency at Baylor in Houston, and then rheumatology fellowship at UTHealth in Houston where she served as Chief Fellow. She and her Houston-native husband truly love and have grown roots in the greater Woodlands community. She practiced for 6 years with Houston Methodist in The Woodlands before transitioning over to Woodlands Arthritis Clinic in pursuit of a smaller, more intimate practice.

Dr. Smith chose rheumatology for its focus on longitudinal patient-doctor relationships and the opportunity to positively impact patients’ quality of life. She strongly believes in educating and encouraging patients to play an active role in their own care as she feels it empowers them to take charge of their chronic diseases and their lives.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with her husband and chasing around her 3 kids. In a past (and hopefully future!) life, she also enjoyed reading, running and gardening.
